Auntie Lisa.

I have the best and coolest aunt in the world. My auntie Lisa is so much fun and I love being with her. We always have such a great time together, just look at our crazy photo. Not many grown ups take the time to be silly.

Anutie Lisa has promised to take me camping when I am older and I cannot wait. Some weekend soon daddy, mommy and I are going to visit auntie Lisa camp. I am very excited to visit the playgroud that I have heard much talk about. Plus I will get to play with my friend Bowden.

I am such a lucky boy to have my auntie Lisa. I love you SO much!! MUUUUAAHH!!!

Butterfly

Yesterday mommy and I were playing in the front yard at great grandma's house. While we were playing ball a beautiful buttterfly floated by. It floated up and down, back and forth and we had so much fun watching it. After a couple of minutes the butterfly floated out of sight and then I turned to mommy and said "I sure am going to miss that little fella".

Halloween

I was Thomas the Tank Engine for Halloween this year.

Daddy, mommy and I carved pumpkins together.

Just look how cute I was all dressed up. I sure got a lot of candy....more than mommy and daddy could even eat.

Ethan's Letters

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

CAT

DOG

EGG

PIG

BIRD

--All of the above was typed by Ethan. We worked with him on the alphabet and the first four words. Those are all things we've practiced before. After PIG, I asked him if he was ready to post or if he wanted to spell any more words. He said he wanted to spell "all the animals and then all the zoo animals." I decided to test him on a word we hadn't worked on before: BIRD. I was amazed that he sounded it out: he said each letter's sound and I just nodded that he was right and he found the corresponding letter on the keyboard and typed it! --The Proud Father

Ethan's First Post

"Let's get this blog up!"

That's an exact quote from our three year old, Ethan James Richard.

"Let's get this blog on the road! Excuse me, Daddy"

"Yes, Ethan?"

"Can I do my letters after this?"

"We'll see. What do you want to have on your blog?"

"Ethan, Grandma and Grandpa, Mommy and Daddy, and Nana... all those guys. And Uncle Dave, Uncle Bob, and Auntie Lisa. And Auntie Dana. Those are my two aunties and my two uncles."

"What else? What do you want to say to everyone out there in the blogosphere?"

"Uh...I don't know. That's just all."
